The problem is, people don't:
-Read their Bible
-Ask questions
-Bring up concerns
-DEMAND ACCOUNTABILITY
They just assume the "pastor" knows what he's talking about. There are many, many irresponsible, misguided "pastors" in the pulpit.

My sympathies for the loss of your wife.
My first wife and I parted ways afte 21 years of marriage mainly due to her involvement with a pentecostal group. Most of our fights and disagreements were about the teachings of this group which I could not accept. She did not seem to have discernment where this group was concerned.
In later years I discovered through alot of research that these types of groups (charismatic/pentecostal) seem to appeal generally to individuals with low self-esteem. The nature of these types of churches tend to make them feel special because God seems to be paying special attention to them.
Scripture teaches that God is no respecter of persons. My ex-wife and family were brought up in a church that taught the pure simple truth of the Bible but looking back now, they really didn't know it. In fact, I would go so far as to say, if you can accept what Kenneth Copeland is teaching, you cannot claim to be a Christian.
We viewed the website you suggested and saw the latest video of Mr. Rouse. The statement of faith is self-revealing in that the shell of the truth is there but it is stuffed with lies and man-made theology.
