...I think I'll join a cult today! It just happens.
J.D. Fouirie says ... I have been following your blog for some time and every article has been hitting closer to home. Our family is involved in a Victory Church in South Africa and it is becoming more and more demonic each week. Our children have no time for anything or anyone but the church and the people there. Keep putting out the word of what can happen when Christians sleep.
Pierre & Mairie Tremblay say ... We as Christians are given "free-will" and it is unfortunate that Satan can use this "free-will" to blind us and lead us down the garden path into these non-Scriptural churches. We were fortunate to have had some discernment when this phenomena started coming into our youth group. Our Board took action and disciplined the Youth Pastor who promptly quit and disappeared only to resurface in a very charismatic church in another town. We are in communication with them about the phenomenon and are waiting to see their next steps.
Norman Whitehead says ... You certainly find interesting people to quote in your blog. The fact that you are taking so much time to research is really quite amazing and the teachings are invaluable for us. We are now fully aware that our church is one of these non-biblical teaching ones and we will be moving out of their influence in the New Year.
Frank Davis says ... We should be running from these churches as fast as we can. It is easy to be taken in by the emotional high every week until it is not enough. By the time you realize that you are involved it is too late.
Lynda LeFountaine says... How true! Experiences should never be taken over doctrine and Biblical truths.
Amelia Thornton-Smythe says... Great parable on how God views "free will" and what happens when we make the wrong choices. We have left a Victory Church in California for exactly the reasons that you have been extolling on your blog. Thank you.
Cindy Browning says... Well-said! I am sending your blog link to members of my family who think that they are in a Bible-believing church while in fact they are involved in a splinter Pentecostal group. Keep up the good words.
T. Smith says ... Allowing free will is part of God's plan. When we don't choose the correct one, consequences follow. These questions are all valid and the well-thought-out responses give food for thought to all those who are involved in a Pentecostal/Charismatic church that is leading them astray.
Douglas O'Bryan says ... I have enjoyed reading the perspectives voiced in the last few posts. It is very interesting to figure out how some people get so off-track with their Christian experience. Let's hope that somehow God will use this information to help those who are struggling with being in these churches.
Christine Follwell says ... Terrific information. I am sending this to our son who is in a Victory Church in Southhampton, UK.
Walter & Carin Crosbie say ... How true, how true. Our children have been drawn into one of these charismatic churches believing that they are all being spoken to by the Lord. They had a brief time of prosperity but in the last year, the church has taken everything from them. If only we had been aware earlier, we might have been able to prevent it. They are now living with their "spiritual" parents and we feel that it is more of a commune than something that will help them get back on their feet. We cannot get them to listen to us. If only, if only we had found your blog earlier.
Auriel & Davis Roebothom say ... We are absolutely dumbfounded by what we are reading about Pentecostal/Charismatics here in your blog. It is obvious that there has been a lot research into the articles; however, nonetheless, it is still appalling that this can be going on in what some people view as main-stream Christian churches. After spending several hours reviewing your blog, we have come to realize that we are in a fringe-church -- not all the way down the road but we do have the speaking in tongues and slain in the spirit actions going on. We thank you for taking the time to do all this research. We will be looking for a new church.
Ryan Schneider says ... What a relevant topic today! We spent Christmas Eve with our family at their church (which I am now sure is demon-possessed) and both my wife and I were afraid at the heaviness and despair that seemed to ooze from everyone in attendance at the service. We've never been involved with "speaking in tongues" and certainly not on Christmas Eve. We hadn't seen our children for over a year as they had moved out of state with my son-in-law's job and our conversations with them had not indicated to us what they were involved in. We are praying that their eyes will be opened before it is too late. We did try to talk to them but who wants to ruin Christmas with religious disagreements. We will continue to research some of the books and authors that you have mentioned so that we can be prepared when they come home for my wife's birthday in February. Thank you.
Paul & Annie Potter say ...It is really obvious that you have taken a lot of time to research about the Pentecostal/charismatic movements. I believe that your concerns are genuine and it is really too bad that these influences are sneaking into the main stream churches each and every week. All we can do is pray for God to intervene sooner rather than let all of these Christians continue to be deceived. Your blog is a good starting point for discussion in our small group and we have permission from our pastor to use it starting this month.
Bryan Ingersoll says ... This is absolutely insane. I cannot believe that so many people (including some of our family) have been suckered into this. We cannot get any of them to listen to reason about what is really going on in their churches ... and they are mixed up in a number of different ones. Thank you for sharing. We will be continuing to follow your blog for more information that may help us get our family out of these churches. By the way, these churches are spread throughout Canada from coast to coast. [We know. This problem is huge and needs to be confronted at every turn until it is eliminated.]
Caroline Whyte says ... Thank you for publishing these recent articles. It has opened our eyes to what is going on in our church. I am appalled that we were part of those who were deceived by the leaders. We need to get out but it will be hard for our children to leave their friends.
Y & C Caron say ... We have been following your blog since the beginning and have really been most upset by what is going on. Some of the comments are so heart wrenching and we really didn't think that we could possibly have been drawn into a church such as these. Well, on New Year's Eve, in our service, our new pastor started "gobbledegooking" all over the place. Over half of our congregation was in shock, some left, some started shouting at the pastor ... it was AWFUL!!! We vetted this pastor ... had no idea that he believed in such a thing ... and now the Board is trying to figure out what to do next! All of our Board are now researching and we have started with your blog, library and comments. Thank you, thank you, thank you .. and all because we originally looked up Joel Osteen and your blog came up!
Jay Jurgens says ... We were absolutely astounded by this information. We know now that some of our family are involved in one of these demon-possessed churches. Now, how do we get them out? [Getting them out will be no easy task as I have found out myself. The whole purpose of this blog from the beginning has been to provide information and make my family aware of what is going on and that's about all you can do. You have to pray and leave the rest to God. He's the only One who can ultimately achieve anything in the situation. When Satan gets his claws into your family, it is not easy to get them out. Pray, pray, pray.]
Ira Grahame says ... Thank you, thank you, thank you. God has opened our children's eyes and they have left their church ... it only took a whole year of sending them your blog information!
Ann, Joe & Michayla Goodman say ... We were so fortunate to have found your blog when we were researching Kenneth Copeland. We have several friends who have gotten involved with splinter churches and did not realize how wide-spread this issue is. We have sent your link to our friends and we are hopefully praying that this will cause them to see some reason. Do you have any literature on how to help them extricate themselves from this? [This blog contains an extensive library of books that can help you with this problem. The first book appeared on January 10, 2010's blog.]
Sandy & Alex Rizer say ... How sad to read the comments from the people who have been drawn into these fringe churches. We were so appalled when we read the list of false teachers here and realized that even though we aren't actually involved in one of these churches, we were watching some of these T.V. charlatans for years. Thank you for opening our eyes.
Terry Kincaid says ... We have been watching your blog for some time and are extremely interested in the perspectives that you put out. We have always known that some of our family are involved but had no idea of what could possibly happen to them if they stay in these fringe churches. Thank you so much for posting and we have sent the link to your blog to the ones who we believe are in these churches. We pray that their eyes will be opened.
Doreen Crossen says ... I have now realized that I am part of the problem because I attend one of the Victory churches and part of my "job" is to recruit unhappy Christians from other churches. I have brought over 20 families into our church over the last three years. Another part of my job was to follow your blog and see what was being put out about us. What your blog has done is made me realize that we are wrong. I don't know how to make it right but I am going to try. Don't let anyone strop you from continuing...this is a valuable service and I know that I would not be aware without it.
Winston Campbell says ... How sad to read some of these comments. We are just finishing up bankruptcy proceedings after tithing over 50% of our income to the church. We were fortunate that we did not lose our home but everything else we worked so hard for is gone. We wish that we had found your blog earlier but all we can say is that if people are in one of these churches .. Get OUT .. do not TITHE 50% of your income .. do not LOSE your family because the church takes over your lives. We are starting over .. and will be very careful about what church we attend in the future.
L. Tidemann says ... Incredible. These churches keep growing because they are the "feel good" churches .. and draw people deeper and deeper into their mysticism until they cannot get out. Keep writing, Brother Poo-Bah!
Kale McDonnell says ... I wish that I had found your blog before I signed up to become a pastor in a Rhema church. Turns out I was totally deceived until I had signed away my entire life..literally to this corrupt organization. I am now totally against anything related to these churches and would strongly warn everyone to research, research, research before getting involved. [Shun anything to do with Rhema. If you have a Rhema Bible, burn it. If you possess any literature out of Oral Roberts University, burn it. That way nobody else will fall prey to their false teachings.]
Sonya Irish says ... I have read the comments and I am so sorry for all of these people who were taken in. I, myself, spent a number of years in one of these churches. When my eyes were opened (thankfully by the true Lord), it took all of my strength to pull away. I was ostracised, ridiculed and harassed for a number of years. Fortunately, I found a good Christian counsellor who helped me get my life back on track. I am now better off emotionally, physically and financially than I ever was. For anyone trying to get it .. it is not easy .. but there is help for you.
Edward Martin says ... Some of these stories are just incredible; however, having just been released from the bondage of a Victory church in Alberta after over 10 years of being blinded, we are very grateful that the Lord opened our eyes to what was really going on there. It took the death of our diabetic daughter to make us realize that faith is part of the healing process but we are not to be so naive as to ignore modern medicine that could have prevented such a tragedy. We are so sorry that it took such a beautiful girl's death to make us see!
Thomas Joeren says ... Bah! These people really have no idea what they are bringing into their lives and it is NOT from God. They have opened themselves up to demons and ultimately Satan. My sister-in-law and family were part of a "church" that insisted that all members do some unmentionable things with the end result being she became so despondent over it that she committed suicide. We cannot yet get over her loss.
The Grand Poo-Bah says ... Dr. Phil's Life Law #1 says: You either get it, or you don't. Become one of those who gets it. Sometimes God will hit us over the head with a 2 x 4 to get our attention as He did in some of these stories. These comments run the gamut from financial ruin to suicide and unnecessary death. Life Law #4 says: You cannot change what you do not acknowledge. Get real with yourself about life and everybody in it. There is no time like the present to leave Satan and his cohorts behind. Stop speaking in tongues (gibberish). I am reminded of a billboard sign that I saw on the way to Florida which said "Always remember, when you find yourself going in the wrong direction, Christ accepts U-turns." If you are currently involved with anything that resembles any of the comments made in this blog, you need to make it a part of your past. Life Law #5 says: "Life rewards action." Take action to pull your life out of the ditch and put it back on the rails. It is time to secure your eternity which is in jeopardy as long as you remain under the influence of Satan at Victory churches.
The Faith Movement and Victory Churches International (the Canadian arm) need to be exposed as frauds with secret agendas. The "Health and Wealth" gospel is heresy and based on misinterpreted Scripture. The Faith teachers are not Bible scholars and they do not know doctrine. If they did, there never would have been a Faith Movement. Evil must not triumph and we will not stand idly by and do nothing!

You Are Now Without Excuse!
If you are a regular reader of this blog, you are now without excuse for getting involved in a cult or continuing in one. The previous 25 blogs have provided you with extensive, reliable, trustworthy information on Truth and where it can be found. Reading only the Bible will not keep you out of a cult or help you to get out of one you are already in. All cults use the Bible to justify their "weird and unique" belief systems. Reading books by well-respected, world-renowned, properly educated Bible scholars will. Each of these 25 books previously mentioned has a bibliography of resources used to research the book (some very lengthy) which you can also access. Most or all are available at www.amazon.com.
What should we be striving for as Christians? It seems to me that our primary concern should be "absolute truth" and where it is being taught. Surely somebody is teaching absolute truth in our world today or at least someone is teaching what would be considered the closest to absolute truth that can possibly be achieved. With this purpose in mind, highly respected Bible scholars become a very important resource when it comes to Bible interpretation (hermeneutics). The Faith Movement/Word of Faith and Victory Churches International do not have even one widely respected Bible scholar in their ranks, including all the television ministries. That's why they all tell you to read your own Bible and interpret it for yourself.
We should not be willing to accept any teachings we believe to be false by continuing to sit in the pew and participating in any way in the ministry. No matter how you look at it, churches teaching falsehoods are like a rotten apple in the barrel of Christianity. If we are fully aware that our leaders are engaging in false teachings we need to exit these churches immediately. Staying in these churches and supporting them with our time and money makes us accessories to the falsehoods. We will have to answer for that someday!
Now that you have more than enough information available to you to keep you out of a cult, this blog will be focusing in future on specific false teachings which are currently misrepresenting True Christianity to the unbelieving world. As the upcoming blogs proceed, you will become aware fairly quickly that the primary source of false teachings today is found deeply embedded in the Pentecostal Church. I believe that the Pentecostal Church is one of the main enemies of truth in our world today. Almost every major false teaching currently out there can be traced back to the confused and misguided Pentecostal Church. Truth mixed with falsehood qualifies the Pentecostal Church as a cult.
Pentecostal, you will find, is a huge umbrella which includes the modern day Faith Movement, Word of Faith and Victory Churches International. Canada Christian College is to blame for teaching an extremely aberrant form of Christianity and giving out doctorate degrees to people who are not qualified in any way. Canada Christian College should be put out of business to eliminate the blight they have put on True Christianity. If you are interested in teaching truth to anyone, do not attend Canada Christian College or allow your children to go there. What they are teaching is not True Christianity and should not be supported in any way. All of the above mentioned organizations are deeply rooted in the Pentecostal Church and its ongoing gross misunderstanding of "The Truth" contained in Scripture.
If you are searching for Truth, make no mistake about it, the so-called truth that the Pentecostals are espousing is based in falsehood and is leading millions of people worldwide astray. Why would you settle for anything less than the unadulterated truth? The "Pentecostal Dictionary" shows very definitively that these people and this movement do not know what they believe, why they believe it and they know even less about absolute truth. They have totally distorted what Christianity is all about. Proof will emerge in upcoming blogs. The Pentecostal Church has been one of Satan's greatest tools which he has used extensively to throw Christians off the "tracks of truth" and into the "ditch of falsehood."
You will also learn in future blogs how you can know if you are actually in a Pentecostal Church because most of them are no longer using the word "Pentecostal" in their name. Community Church, Life Centre, and Victory Centre are a few that have become much more common now. So, beware!
We say we want God's best for our lives. What could be better than finding out what is "actually" truth and then "sticking with it"? Do not listen to anyone who has something to gain from what they are telling you! This scenario is quite common in today's churches. Scripture admonishes us not to add anything or take anything away from the "Gospel that was delivered to the Saints". Looking forward to sharing with you in the days ahead.

Jason, Darren, Glenn....Please Read...
O. Davies says - I found the comments very interesting because I thought I was alone dealing with this. The health and wealth people are destroying my family. I am very glad that I found your blog. Keep up the fight, Brother.
R.G. Bastido says - I will be looking forward to seeing where you found your information. Being well-read about this subject means being able to see clearly when things don't seem right.
M.J. deLuca says- I don't know where you are getting your information but it cannot possibly be correct. I know that our pastor isn't out to take our money but rather we have the responsibility to make sure that he and his family have enough to live on. It is our duty as Christians to make sure that he has what he needs. You have no right to assume that they are not interested in saving souls.
The Grand Poo-Bah says: Having enough to live on is a far cry from living in the lap of luxury with multiple homes all around the world. If your pastor is preaching the "health and wealth" gospel to his congregants on a regular basis, he has a secret agenda of gaining personal wealth through the mininstry. Appearing to be interested in saving souls is an excellent cover for this agenda.
Carina Landis says - Thank you for sharing your story (Grand Poo-Bah). My husband and I have just realized that we are in a fringe church after finding out that our pastor is expecting a brand new high-end car for Christmas from our congregation and we were all asked to contribute $500 each for his gift. Our pastor doesn't teach all of the things that you have outlined in your blog; however, he does think that the Copelands are great spiritual leaders.
The Grand Poo-Bah says: Some churches do get together and buy their pastors a new car. There is nothing wrong with that in itself but the red flag had to go up when your pastor "asked" for the $500 gift. This is not done in regular churches. The other red flag is the Copelands or anybody on my list in the previous blog.
David Miller says - Well, it's great to see you are finally back. It is great to read the excerpts from the research that you are doing for this worthwhile cause. I am looking forward to hearing your insight into these charlatans.
B. Smith says - Having stumbled onto this blog, I am amazed at your insight. Hang in there. Your children will eventually see the error of their ways and get out of the Barrie Victory Centre. We got out of the one in Owen Sound and it was the best thing that we ever did.
The Grand Poo-Bah says: Good for you for seeing the light and getting out of Crossroads Victory Church in Owen Sound. I praise God for your freedom from the cult. If you attend Centre of Hope Victory Church in Kincardine, Gateway Victory Church in Wiarton, Mount Forest Victory Church or Victory Impact Centre in Newmarket; you need to exit these churches ASAP because they are all cults. Victory Churches International is a cult because they are involved in false teachings. The "health and wealth" gospel is false doctrine.
Douglas Brennan says - I think that you should leave your adult children to their own devices. All you can really do is pray and let God take care of it.
The Grand Poo-Bah says: So what you are saying is that if you knew for a fact, based on your research, that your adult children were involved in a cult, you would have nothing to say to them. It would be just fine with you. Praying and letting God take care of it is good but we, as Christians and parents, have a responsibility that we cannot set aside.
L. & C. Campbell says - I truly hope that your family sees the errors of their ways. What a disgusting and vile bunch of children you have; however, we will be praying that their eyes will be opened before it is too late as it was for our daughter. She committed suicide after realizing that she had given everything to this "health and wealth" garbage and ended up broke, alone and not able to see any way out. We wish we had found your information earlier. God Bless.
The Grand Poo-Bah says: I am sorry to hear of the death of your daughter. The things you talk about in your comments are the very things that I am concerned about for my own children. Thanks for sharing your story. Hopefully it will help someone else.
J. Ridgeway says - You have an interesting take on something that means so much to so many. I do not think that all of the people on your list are leading people astray. I think people make their own judgments based on experience and we can determine our own futures.
The Grand Poo-Bah says: They all teach the "health and wealth" gospel and therefore, they are all false teachers who are leading people astray -- no doubt about it.
Meghan McPhail says - Doesn't this cartoon just say it all! Have really enjoyed reading your blog. Hope your family soon sees the errors of their ways before it is too late and we are raptured away without them.
Lorianne del Guzman says -Thank you for taking the time. I know you are doing it for your family but it is helping mine.
Terry Greene says - None of these people know anything about the wonderful gifts of God that we receive from our pastors. They deserve to have the best of everything.. that's our responsibility as their followers.. to ensure that they have all that they need and desire. You really need to stop posting this drivel.
The Grand Poo-Bah says: Your comments make it very obvious that you have not read any books about what is wrong with the Faith Movement. There are many books available on the subject. I will be publishing a list of some of these books in the near future. You need to avail yourself of some of these materials so that you can speak from a position of knowledge rather than ignorance.
Lew Thomas says - How I wish that I had paid more attention to what was going on with my wife. Now it is much too late and she has passed away because she stopped taking her medication for diabetes. Her "minister" told her that God would heal her if she only stopped taking her insulin and had enough faith. Needless to say, between that and "The Master's Diet," she fell into a coma while I was at work. By the time I got home, it was too late. And I have no recourse against this minister. He and his family packed up and moved to another state where they have started another "cult" even more nutty than the last one.
The Grand Poo-Bah says: I was very sorry to hear about the passing of your wife. I was very disturbed to hear about the reasons that she passed. I have a diabetic son who attends Barrie Victory Centre and I am always concerned that they will encourage him to stop taking his insulin because having diabetes does not fit in with the "health and wealth" gospel. Please pray that my son, Glenn, will not do the same thing as your wife. I have limited knowledge about The Master's Diet but I have heard that it is dangerous.
C. & C. Blackweild says - After reading the comments, it is apparent that my family was not the only ones taken in by these charlatans. The $500 gift for the pastor must be a common thread in these organizations because we have been asked twice this year to "celebrate" something with the pastor. My husband wrote the first cheque and we found your blog very shortly thereafter. After reading a lot of the blog, we have sadly come to the realization that we are in a cult and are in the process of trying to extract ourselves. My husband is on the Board but it is a straw organization because nobody can question any decision our pastor makes. Please pray for us.
The Grand Poo-Bah says: These comments should sound familiar to my son, Darren, who is on the Board at the straw organization called Barrie Victory Centre. I hope, Darren, that you read this comment over a number of times and really absorb what the writer is saying. Oh, by the way, how much are all of you at Barrie Victory Centre donating to Pastor McCullough's Christmas gift?
K. Hicks says - This is a sad fact with what is going on out there. Those TV evangelists have ruined many lives.
M. Whyteside says - Don't you think it's time you stopped this vile blog; you are attacking all the crazies who don't believe what God really wants for his people.
Stan Byrd says - Given how passionate you seem to be about this issue, maybe you should become a "travelling" preacher. You certainly couldn't do any worse than these nutbars like Benny Hinn.
Rob Richards says -It is so sad to read some of these stories. My granddaughter and her family have moved into a compound in Texas where their "cult leader" has insisted that the men live in one part and he lives with the women and children. Now what does that tell you! We are distraught and the worst part is that they started out in a seemingly normal church and ended up there because the emotional high needed to be fed. Keep up the work, Brother Pooh-Bah.
The Grand Poo-Bah says: Any church where an emotional high needs to be fed is not a normal church. The type of cult you describe in your comments can develop when a leader has complete control over all of his followers with no checks and balances in place. Sounds a lot like Barrie Victory Centre, don't you think, Jason, Darren & Glenn?
M & T. Way says - Grand perspective. Have really enjoyed reading your stuff over the last year or so. It is stunning to read what has happened to other families who have been suckered into these cults. We hope your family will see the error of their ways sooner rather than later.
Heather McKye says - WOW!! I am sad to read some of the comments. It's heartbreaking to the families and to you. My group will pray for all of you.
The Grand Poo-Bah says: Thank you for your prayers.
Anonymous says - When are you going to stop this drivel! Nobody in their right mind would believe any of this stuff. You cannot win.
The Grand Poo-Bah says: It's not about me. Truth always wins in the end. God gets the final word. If drivel is the only word you have at your disposal to describe these world-renowned Bible scholars, then you need to do a reality check. If you haven't read any good books lately, there are many available on what is wrong with the Faith Movement. Leaving the Faith Movement or Victory Churches International would make you a winner!

What Our Readers Have To Say...
"I have been following your blog for almost the whole time. You have taken a stand which most people would just say "so what" and tolerate this situation with your boys. I wish that I had been able to do that instead of going along and ending up losing my entire family and nearly my soul as well. Thank you. (Martin O'Keefe)
It is hard to stand by and watch your family fall apart. I'm sure if I knew then what I know now, I would have put up more of a fight for my wife. Instead, I watched her slip away because I thought it was just another Pentecostal church and now am grieving her loss to the wiles of her pastor. (David Miller - South Africa)
You actually had one of your children say to you, we are "only interested in you, Dad, we have no interest in having anything to do with your wife." How disgusting! I hope that you sent them packing with a firm kick in the behind and a "don't darken my door again until you apologize to my wife." Anything else is simply not acceptable and if one of my kids had said that to me about my lovely and kind 2nd wife, it would have been the last thing that they ever said to me. (Alf Ormont)
Going along with such treatment of your wife is absolutely unacceptable. She must be a saint to have put up with this. I will be praying for strength and protection for you both during this trying time. I have been following your blog and it has been most helpful in clarifying some things that concerned me with Victory Churches as I have family members in this cult in Alabama. Keep up the writing. Thank you. (M.B. Browne)
And these relatives are Christian? How awful for you and your wife. My family will be praying for all of you during such a Satanic attack as this. (Sandra DeVilbiss)
You and your wife must be beside yourselves over these ungrateful offspring (they don't deserve to be called your children); however, it is apparent that you love them and want what's best for them so we will add all of you to our prayer chain at our church. (Bruce & Jane Ashford)
It must be difficult to have such a situation as you describe. Keep pressing on. (Ryan Davis)
Thank you for this blog. We have read all of the articles and will be purchasing a copy of the book. We found your blog when searching for information on the "health and wealth" gospel as our adult children and their families have been taken in by the Copelands. Please pray for our children as we go through this. We also have not seen our grandchildren for some years and it is most difficult. Our prayers are with you and please keep us in yours. Thank you. (Denis & Debra Lezzard)
What a great post. We also feel like we are crying in the wilderness about this subject. At least our children are out now after six years of following that false prophet, Benny Hinn. The unfortunate part is that they no longer see any value in the Christian life. We would ask that you pray for Joelene, Adam, Michael, Brenda and their families as we will pray for you and yours. (Charlotte Wu)
I have just finished reading the book. I am giving copies of this to my girls for Christmas. I had no idea they were being drawn in under Joel Osteen's milarky. (Matthew T. Grey)
Yes, it is in crisis. When are you coming back to writing? (T.S. Smith)
The Grand Poo-Bah says:
I would like to thank all of the above readers for their comments. I have printed these comments all together in a single blog for a couple of reasons.
- You are not alone in the fight against false teaching.
- Your comments can have an incredible influence for the cause of Christ.
If you have personal experience in dealing with Victory Churches International or any of the other false teachers of the "Faith Movement," I would urge you to share your story. You never know who you may be helping along the way -- as you can see from the above comments.
I first realized that my children were all involved in a modern day Christian cult when, one day out of the blue, one of my sons said to me, "Dad, you didn't teach us the whole gospel." Since they were raised in an evangelical Baptist church from the time they were small children, I was shocked to hear this statement out of the mouth of one of my children. I was immediately suspicious that something was wrong at the new church they were currently attending. I wondered what this church had told my children to convince them that their father, who loved and cared about them, had basically lied to them their whole lives about the truth of the gospel. Convinced that something was very very wrong at Barrie Victory Centre, I proceeded to do some research and was shocked at what I discovered.
If you attend a church which promotes any of the people on the following list, you are likely involved in a cult and need to get out ASAP and stop sending them money. The only way to stop these people is to cut them off at the knees. They have no interest in your eternal soul; they are only after one thing -- your money. Many have amassed huge fortunes by promoting a "different" gospel. People from all over the world have become caught in their web of lies and don't even know it.
Here is the list of false teachers that I have found (in no particular order):
Benny Hinn, Creflo Dollar, E.W. Kenyon (founder of the Faith Movement), Frederick K.C. Price, George & Hazel Hill (Victory Churches International Founders), Jerry Savelle, Joel Osteen.
John Avanzini,John Hagee, John Paul Jackson, Joyce Meyers, Kenneth "Dad" Hagan (Rhema), Kenneth & Gloria Copeland, Marilyn Hickey, Morris Cerullo, Oral & Richard Roberts.
Pat Robertson, Paul & Jan Crouch (founders of Trinity Broadcasting Network), Paula White, Peter Marshall (kingpin for Victory Churches International), Peter Popoff, Peter Youngren.
Reinhardt Bonnke, Robert Schuller, Robert Tilton, Rod Parsley, Rodney Howard-Browne, Smith Wigglesworth, T.D. Jakes, T.L. Osborn, Todd Bentley, Andrew Prince and Paul & Debbie McCullough (false teachers at Barrie Victory Centre where my children attend.)
All of the above are members of the Faith Movement and promote the "health and wealth" gospel which has made the majority of them all very very rich. This list is likely incomplete due to the fact that new cult leaders are popping up every week wanting to get in on the "money feast" which is taking place at the expense of unsuspecting Christians around the world. We need to stop doing this immediately.
The next blog which I post will be a bibliography of the books I have read and that you may be interested in reading as well if you have family members involved in Victory Churches International or any other arm of the Faith Movement.
Look forward to hearing your comments. Thanks for reading.
